Scratch Building Trees

This is one of the simpler methods to use.  You'll need some moss substitute (used for hanging baskets), some twigs, a hot glue gun, mdf bases, PVA and some scatter material.

Home made scatter material made from hamster bedding and coloured with Dylon cold wash dye.

Twigs stuck to mdf bases with a hot glue gun.

Roll up lots of ball shapes with the moss substitute.

Dunk the balls into PVA, stick them to the twigs and then pour the scatter all over them.

Give them 24 hours to dry and then spray varnish them twice, then do the bases.

  1. And that's another fine mess, Stanley! If I get my new hot glue gun, I'll certainly givethis a go!
